Weezer put on a great show

"Rivers was very animated. He spent a great deal of time out in the crowd, which I thought was very cool. The venue was small enough that even people with bad seats had a pretty good view. I really enjoyed their combo of MGMT's "Kids" with "Poker Face." He used a trampoline, kicked beach balls into the crowd, threw TP into the crowd, and even put on a wig to look like Lady Gaga when he covered "Poker Face." Cirque du Soleil's Sat. July 31st concert at the Ohio Fairgrounds rocked. Didn't really grab me, but they weren't horrible either. Their opening act, Motion City Soundtrack was okay. Cirque du Soleil played all their standards and just a few of their new tunes (which surprised me). I'm thinking they got the idea from Axis of Awesome's very popular "4 Chords" skit on Youtube. I'm hoping next time, I can get better seats (closer), and that their opening band will be better (they had Tenacious D in 2001 and they blew the roof off). Anyway, I haven't seen Cirque du Soleil since 2001 in Cleveland (where they were so-so). This was a much better show. They rocked and really got the audience involved."
